Danbo !
The word Danbo is comes from Danboru. Danboru is taken from the Japanese word meaning the corrugated cupboard. Danbo is a character from a comedy manga series Kiyohiko Azuma entitled Yotsuba. Danbo is famous because of its simplicity, easy to create, innocent facial expression and cuteness.
These section is called folding section. All the parts here are the basic part to make Danbo. Fold it properly and you will get a beautiful and neat Danbo.
Hint : Part.
As you shown in the drawing above, you should fold the box due to the drawing above. Once you have finished all the folding process, you can glue on the white side as shown above.
After all the beautiful boxes are produced, now you can continue with combine all the part into one figure action. You can follow the instruction below.
Hint : All the number in the instructions below are referring to the drawing above. Picture.
Part 6 and 7, you just has to glue the barrel and merger it with the part 9 without glue. it is better if you put a little glue on the tip but depends on you how you want.
After that, we are going to make Danbo’s body. 1st we build the base for the head. What we have to do is we have to glue part 10 and part 11 together (part 10-inside of the body and part 11-outside of the body), 2nd we build the base for the hand. We have to glue the part 18 and 19 together.
Hint : you should put glue on the X-mark only but not on the whole of the circle (to make your Danbo capable to move).
The item from picture 4 and picture 5 are glued together. The best way to make the Danbo capable to move their hand and head, you should glue the tip of the circle.
To build this part of Danbo, you can refer to the picture 3. The step is same.
Part 1 until part 4, you can build the Danbo’s head.
Put a little glue on the upper side of the neck and combine the Danbo’s head with the neck that we already done earlier.
Now, we proceed to create the Danbo’s legs using part 2.
Finally, glue on the barrel and put inside of the Danbo’s body. Make sure the Danbo’s legs can move upward and backward freely.
